Thanks for visiting our website and looking around a little bit. For those who are interested, I though I would publish a small biography so that you can learn a little about my background. I grew up in North Versailles, PA having attended East Allegheny High School. After graduation, I went on to the Penn State McKeesport branch for a year, and then when I couldn’t find the right major, I spent a little more than a year at Community College of Allegheny County.
I moved on to Duquesne University where I completed a dual major in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I then went on to graduate from Duquesne University School of Law in 1997. Knowing that I didn’t want to be an anonymous associate at a large firm, I decided to join a small firm in Turtle Creek where I was mostly a general practice type of attorney. This means that I took on whatever type of case that would walk through the door. After a few years I realized that wasn’t the proper course for me, so I began to focus on Consumer Law, specifically the handling of Lemon Law and Breach of Warranty cases for vehicles.
Consumer Law had an appeal to me because I was helping people who faced everyday problems. At some point, a nice lady walked into my office with a credit card lawsuit from a debt buyer. She asked for my advice, but she was really looking to settle the case. I had never handled a credit card case before, but after reviewing the lawsuit I could see that it was defective. It wasn’t just defective, it was really defective. So I advised the lady to let me defend the case and see if we couldn’t mount a defense. A few weeks later, the case was thrown out by the court because the debt buyer could not prove even the most basic essentials of its case. It was then that my law practice changed in a very dramatic way. I started a marketing campaign focusing on defense of credit card cases.
After a year or so, I was handling maybe 10-12 cases a month and winning every single one of them. Clients were thrilled and the word-of-mouth referrals were skyrocketing. Fast forward to the current time, and we’re handling 25-35 of these cases each and every month, helping consumers just like you. I couldn’t be happier with the way that my law practice has turned out. I couldn’t be happier helping so many people when they’re facing such desperate times.
In my spare time, I enjoy coaching youth hockey. Most recently, I was the head coach of the Norwin Hockey Club Middle School team. We won the division with an 11-1-2 record, but unfortunately we did not get to complete the season due to the emergence of the pandemic. We led our league in assists, and we led the entire PIHL in Power Play percentage. It was a great year for a great team and I was lucky to coach these fantastic kids.
