This is one of the bigger questions that we receive. What are my chances if I sue a debt collector for violating my rights? In a nutshell, your chances are fantastic. We are well aware that most people do not want to pursue a legal claim, to spend time and money wastefully on pursuing a case that they cannot win. We follow that same thought process. If we take on a case, it’s because we believe that we can win. Maybe a better way to put it is, we expect to win every case that we handle. In that regard, your chances at success are very high if we take on your case.
As mentioned on other pages of this website, we do not charge an out of pocket retainer on FDCPA cases. We know that the debt collector will pay our fee if we prevail. What does that tell you? We take on cases where we believe that the statute has been violated and where we can help the client. The way to do help the client is through making the debt collector pay for its stakes. Our fee, and our name, is dependent upon that.
We vigorously pursue debt collectors who violate the law. The great thing about pursuing an FDCPA claim through our office is that we do not charge a retainer to our clients. We make the debt collector pay our fee every time!
Whether you are being harassed by a debt collector, receiving threatening letters or voice messages, receiving wage garnishment threats or are facing any other type of issue with an unsavory debt collector, we can help. As always, we offer a free no obligation case review to any potential client who may have a claim under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Why hire Artim Law?
Two words, experience and reputation. We have both, in abundance. We handle about a dozen FDCPA claims per month, with just about half of them resulting in lawsuits. (The others settle prior to litigation). We also defend against the credit card lawsuits filed by these collectors.
As far as reputation, ask any of our peers about us. We have been counsel on several important reported decisions regarding FDCPA and credit card issues, we’ve been lead counsel on several class action lawsuits, we’ve been interviewed by both television and leading online companies about credit card/collection matters, and quite frankly, the debt collectors themselves have asked us to stop suing them so much. In exchange for that request, they have offered to work with us to settle more cases in an amicable fashion without the need for litigation.
If you are being threatened by a debt collector or if you think they might have acted unscrupulously in any fashion, contact us right away. Our office number is 412-823-8003 or you can send and inquiry via our online contact form.
This website is for advertising purposes only. Viewing this material or submitting a contact inquiry does not establish an attorney-client relationship between you and our firm. All Clients must sign a written Fee Agreement for representation.
